What are the most common products you supply?
Our customers most often request pipe bedding, road base, fill material, bank sand, and rip rap.
That being said, we can source a broad range of other materials, including specialty items, including recycled asphalt millings and decorative stones.
What factors do you consider when sourcing materials for a project?
Quality, proximity, price, and specifications. When you come to us for materials, we do the legwork and present you with best options.
We need materials that meet certain testing standards. Can you provide test results to confirm compliance?
Absolutely!
We often work on projects that include material with required specifications. In those situations, we source proven options and will attach testing submittals with your job quote.
Additionally, if you want a material that hasn’t been tested, we can discuss facilitating this at your cost.
What happens if our chosen pit runs short on material during the project?
This is an important question to ask.
In peak season, a pit may occasionally run short. The best way to deal with this? Planning, regular monitoring, and open communication.
We monitor our customers’ projects with regular job site visits, are in constant communication with the field team, and keep tabs on pit supply. Additionally, we plan for potential shortages by choosing alternate sources in advance (and getting your approval on those sources!) so that we can quickly pivot and keep the job moving forward.
